Our Mission - To provide superior educational opportunities so students can achieve their highest potential. Our administrators, staff, parents, and community supporters work together to make this mission a reality for our urban teens. Our dynamic high school has experienced skyrocketing success since its inception in 2003.
Our History - Reagan High School grew from the efforts of proactive south side parents who shared a strong vision for quality education within their community. Residents worked tirelessly with MPS to create a new high school modeled after the exemplary honors program found at Rufus King HS. Supported by the community, the MPS Board of Directors, and the MPS Superintendent, we opened in 2003. We immediately pursued affiliation with the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2006, we received IB certification for grades 11/12 and in 2011 we received IB certification for grades 9/10. We are currently the only high school within the City of Milwaukee to offer a complete four years of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
Our Program - All students must participate in the IB program at Reagan High School. The International Baccalaureate Organization is a non-profit educational foundation that achieved global recognition in 1968. There are currently over 2,800 IB schools in 140 countries. IB promotes high academics, global awareness, analytical thinking, and service. Our graduates are very well-educated, compassionate and typically college-bound. The world’s leading universities deeply value the credentials of IB high school graduates. Our IB students are trained to be leaders who readily qualify for college scholarships and grants. Simply put, IB is a ticket to success.
