Forensics (Speech, Acting and Interpretation)
Join the 2016 Division II State Championship Team:
Develop speech/drama skills, confidence and friendships. Diverse speaking material is used and no previous experience required. Compete with other schools on Saturdays from January-April. Forensics team members can join the National Forensics League, a service organization that provides college scholarships to participants. Team members compete at the local, state and national levels. At the 2017 State Tournament, junior Kellen Sharp won 1st place in poetry speaking.
In 2016, 7 students qualified for the CFL National Grand Tournament in Louisville, KY and 3 students qualified to the National Speech and Debate Tournament in Birmingham, AL. At the NCFL Tournament, sophomore Julia Matiszik placed in the Top 24 performers in her category Oratorical Declamation. Julia is the 1st Reagan student to ever break into quarter finals at a National Competition.
Next year's Nationals Tournaments will be held in Washington D.C. and Fort Lauderdale, FL
