School of Recognition
For the second year in a row, Reagan High School has earned a prestigious Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition “Beating the Odds” Award.
According to the Wisconsin Dept. of Public Instruction, we have achieved America’s accountability measures and Wisconsin’s goal to close college and career readiness gaps. Schools which are deemed as “Beating the Odds” are:
are in the top 25 percent of high-poverty schools in the state, and
have above-average student achievement in reading and mathematics
This award comes on the heels of the U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools award which ranked Reagan High School as #3 in the State of Wisconsin.
NAF Distinguished
Our NAF Health Academy has achieved a rare “Distinguished Standard.” Reagan High School is the first Milwaukee Public School to gain NAF’s prestigious recognition.
NAF is a non-profit organization bringing education, business, and community leaders together to increase high school graduation rates and career success. The “Distinguished Standard” is their highest level of achievement. Our school demonstrates exceptional fidelity to this goal.
Our NAF Health Academy opens a new pathway to students who are interest in pursuing careers in health care. It is a vital part of our IB Career-related Programme with curriculum introducing students to potential careers, tours of healthcare facilities, opportunities for networking with medical professionals, job shadowing, internships, and even part-time jobs. It will soon be followed by a NAF IT Academy.
US News & World Report's current ranking
Ronald Reagan High School has once again topped the charts of U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of America’s Best High Schools. This year, the MPS high school has been listed as #3 in the State of Wisconsin.
The academically challenging curriculum provided in our IB World School opens diverse pathways to success for urban teens in the greater Milwaukee area. Over 63% of our students are designated as economically disadvantaged. Reagan High School is the recipient of numerous state and national awards and has consistently appeared on the U.S. News & World Report listings since 2012.
