We’ve woven a resilient safety net to prevent failure and launch success.
Teen years are fraught with challenges. We use a holistic approach to education, helping students become well-rounded adults. Infusing images of student triumph across campus, we instill a belief that goals are attainable and success is possible for everyone.
Within this world school, we sustain a culture of commitment with a host of educational supports. Our educators close the achievement gap by building positive relationships, addressing the needs of teens from various global cultures and backgrounds.
Academic and Career Planning
In daily ACP, students explore colleges and careers, uncover their personal interests, and map out goals. This fluid process leads to personalized programs and self-direction building across grade levels.
Character Education
Robust character develops when embracing IB Learning Profile attributes. Our students become caring inquirers, reflective thinkers, and courageous communicators who are principled, balanced, open-minded, and knowledgeable.
Check In/Check Out
Struggling students are met daily by staff members who offer a morning moment of encouragement and an end-of-day progress review. We monitor attendance and establish behavioral goals for those who would otherwise falter in school.
Chromebook Program
Our digital generation is fully engaged with Chromebooks for use both on and off campus. This 1:1 technology offers easy communication with faculty, provides rapid access to global sources, and launches creative learning via virtual lessons.
College Prep Wednesdays
Freshmen through juniors take practice tests weekly to attain higher ACT scores. Review of fresh data reveals weaknesses for prompt lesson adaptations. Our students have consistently exceeded Wisconsin’s ACT composite scores.
Credit Recovery
When a student fails a course, we help them recover. This program of direct instruction, online assignments, and tests is aligned to state standards. Students work independently at their own pace to attain proficiency.
Huskies on Track
We reward achievement, good citizenship, and leadership. Students who step beyond their own needs, display positive attitudes, or exhibit healthy leadership are given Husky Paw Prints to purchase highly popular school spirit items.
Mindfulness Training
Teens are worn by stress, and can be silently carrying a world of woe. With mindfulness training they can learn how to defuse raging emotions and relax with deep breathing and meditation techniques. It’s a vital lifelong skill!
Personalized Blended Learning Lab
Our PBL Lab is a supplement to classroom lessons; a popular spot for students who need to work at a slower pace for success. With staff and online instruction, PBL helps those requiring multiple exposures to grasp a lesson for proficiency.
Transitional Programs
We offer a spectrum of services to ease students with special needs from school to employment. With Community Assessment Training and On The Job Training, special needs students develop confidence through positive life experiences.
Tutoring
Caring educators are available outside of their classrooms to help students gain mastery of subject materials. Just visit our Student Academic Workroom. Added staff are also there to collaborate with those who have special education needs.
