Spring Sports are back!
Reagan High School offers a wide variety of sports teams that are growing in popularity every year. Experience is not necessary – just the desire to play! As our numbers grow, we continue to add more levels of teams to encourage participation for all interested. At Reagan, we love our student-athletes, and we do everything we can for them to be successful with a positive experience through Athletics.

Academic Eligibility
All full-time students are eligible to participate in Athletics. At Reagan, a full-time student has a schedule in which 100% of the school day is scheduled with school-related activities. Also, each day must contain at least 2 credit-earning blocks. This includes classes, credit recovery, credit acceleration, interships, credit-earning work release, and classes at UWM or MATC. Study Hall, ACP, monitoring, early release, late arrival, and most work-release blocks are not-credit earning.
To participate in Athletics, students must register, pay the $25 Athletics fee, attend practices, attend meetings, and intend to compete on Reagan teams.
To compete in Athletics:
- Students must have 0 or 1 failing grade on their report card of the most recent marking period. 3rd and 4th year students must also have a 2.0 unweighted grade point average on their report card of the most recent marking period. The Athletic Director will certify a student as eligible to compete.
- Students failing to meet the academic standards above will be ineligible to compete for a period of 15 school days. During that period, students ineligible to compete can participate with their teams, but may not compete. On the 15th day of the ineligibility period, the student may recertify with the Athletic Director as eligible to compete for a contest no sooner than the the next (16th) day.
- Students unable to recertify as eligible to compete may continue to participate with their team at the complete discretion of the coach. If the student is making no efforts to recertify as eligible to compete, the coach is encouraged to dismiss the student from participation for the remainder of the season.
- Incoming 9th grade students are not subject to academic eligibility certification until the completion of their first marking period.
If you have any questions about academic eligibility, contact Mr. Mayer (414-304-6254, mayerke@milwaukee.k12.wi.us), the Athletic Director, in Room 101C.
