Our freshmen students were issued a new Chromebook. If you are experiencing technical issues with a school device, please:
- Visit Mr. Reed in the Reagan library if you need immediate tech support.
- Call the District's Technology Support Center at 414-438-3400 or email tsc@milwaukee.k12.wi.us
Instructions to fix Chromebook Freeze Up
Our freshmen students were issued a new Chromebook (Model C871). This applied only to Model Number C871. If your Chromebook is freezing up when joining a Google Meet or when you turn the camera on, please follow these instructions to apply a fix to the issue:
- Turn your Chromebook on and login
- Open Chrome web browser and type:
chrome://flags/#disable-webrtc-hw-encoding
- Go to WebRTC hardware video encoding option
- Choose Disabled from the drop down menu
- Press “Restart” on bottom right
- Turn your Chromebook off
- Turn Chromebook on
- Login
