September

  • Attend the Reagan College & Career Fair
  • Early College Credit Program (ECCP) Info Session for Spring semester and application deadline
  • Create/Continue to use your ACP Portfolio in Xello
  • Review Your School Record – this includes Transcripts and Test Scores
  • Get Involved!!! – Sign up for extracurricular activities and volunteer to boost your college applications
  • Apply for a Youth Apprenticeship if interested

October

  • 11th Grade ACP Conferences during Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • Attend College Visits at Reagan- Attend the info sessions of colleges that visit Reagan during your ACP Advisory, usually in the CACC
  • Attend the district Trades Fair- get a permission form in the CACC

November

  • Narrow your list of colleges – Your list of schools should include a few with requirements at your current GPA, a few above, and at least one below your GPA.

December

  • College Visits – Winter and Spring break are good times to visit colleges. Find out which schools match your personality, offer your area of study, and academic criteria

January

  • Study Hard for finals - remember Junior year is the last year of grades colleges will see when you apply in the fall of your Senior year
  • Consider Job Shadows or other Career Based Learning Experiences, see Ms. Fahey for ideas
    Early College Credit Program (ECCP) Info Session for Summer semester and application deadline

February

  • Course Selection - Meet with your Counselor to choose your courses for senior year
  • Submit your Direct Admit forms to your Counselor/CACC Advisor
  • Early College Credit Program (ECCP) Info Session for Fall semester and application deadline

March

  • ACT Test  – All juniors will take the ACT with Writing at school
  • Attend a college visit over spring break! 

April

  • NCAA Clearinghouse – Begin this process if you plan to play DI or DII sports in college
  • Attend the Wednesday workshops to start college essays, create your activities list, get organized for scholarship applications, and create a brag sheet
  • Attend the district Job Fair - get a permission form in the CACC 

May

  • Letters of Recommendation from your Junior Teachers and Counselor (if your colleges require them)
  • Update your ACP Portfolio – Add new report cards, test scores, extracurricular activities, honors, etc.

June

  • Study Hard for finals and finish your semester strong! Spring Junior grades are the last semester colleges will see when you apply in the fall

July

  • Attend college visits!
  • Research your college applications and deadlines. Some colleges offer early decisions if you apply between October and December. Decide if you want to pursue this option and see if your school offers it.
    Polish your college application essays - you will be so happy you did this over the summer once Senior year starts! 

August of Senior Year

  • College applications including the UW System and the Common Application open
