- Counselors visit senior classes; transcripts can start to be requested through Parchment
- Review graduation requirements with counselor. Make sure you are on track!
September
- College Fair @ Reagan
- Early College Credit Program and Start College Now Info Session
- College Searches: Use Xello
- Look at your list of colleges and make sure you will meet their entrance requirements
- Work on application essays, ask teachers, counselors for feedback
- All Scholarship opportunities sent through MPS Central office will be posted on the Reagan School Counselor website.
- Most early decision and early action applications are due between Oct. 1 and Nov. 1.
- Meet with college/military representatives during college visits. Visit dates are posted on the
- Reagan School Counseling website calendar.
October
- OCTOBER 1ST - FAFSA Opens at www.fafsa.gov
- FAFSA: Counselors will complete the student portion with seniors in English class
- College Application Campaign
- On-site admissions - Marquette, UW-Milwaukee
- Start to submit college applications.
November/December
- Finalize college choices
- Research freshman scholarship opportunities through the colleges you are considering
January

February
- If you completed the FAFSA, you should receive your Student Aid Report (SAR). If there are errors on your SAR, make the necessary corrections and return it to FAFSA.
- Be sure all necessary materials have been sent to your chosen colleges.
March
- Continue researching scholarship opportunities.
April
- Colleges should inform you of their decisions by mid April.
- Review financial aid packages; talk with college financial aid officers.
- Be aware of housing contract deadlines for colleges: some schools use this to secure your seat.
May/June
- May 1 - National College Decision Deadline (many colleges require a deposit to reserve spot for fall)
- Graduation
- Notify the college you plan to attend of your decision.
- Notify colleges you did not choose, so they can offer admission to others.
- Request your final transcript on Parchment so it is sent to the college you will attend.
